Born and raised in Los Angeles' Crenshaw district, less than three miles from Hollywood, Tomy Drissi began his entertainment marketing career right out of high school. At 18, Drissi joined Seiniger Advertising, one of the top design boutiques on the West Coast, starting as a messenger and "stat boy". Drissi soon discovered that design and marketing were in his blood.

While attending California State University at Northridge, Drissi continued to work at Seiniger, and wore numerous hats as he strived to learn more and more about the various aspects of motion picture marketing. After graduating from CSUN with a degree in marketing, he remained at Seiniger, but left to work in the distribution field with the goal of further his industry experience.

Wanting to take on a greater role in the design process, Tomy opened the doors of Drissi Advertising in 1989, with a staff of two, including himself. His first client was Universal Pictures, for whom he created the lobby standee campaign for "The Land Before Time".

Tomy's innovative and non-traditional style caught the eye of a number of Hollywood studio film marketing executives, and his business began to grow. Over the past 14 years, Drissi Advertising has grown from a two-person operation into one of Los Angeles' busiest shops, with complete in-house designing, engineering, manufacturing and distribution. Drissi's company has been award "The Hollywood Reporter Key Art Award", 14 years running!

In addition to standees for the film industry, Tomy has expanded his business to include other point-of-purchase display campaigns, for home entertainment and national corporate clients, including: Universal Home Entertainment, Mattel, Fisher Price, SEGA, Nike and The Disney Store.
